Osnabrücker Bonsaitage

The Club der Bonsaifreunde Osnabrück e.V. is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and, together with the Friends of the Botanical Garden and the Green School, invites you to the 24th Osnabrück Bonsai Days with a special program.

Bonsai as an art form from the Far East embodies the successful synthesis between plant and garden art. An exhibition with more than 80 exhibits of flowering, deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs in the Helikoniensaal is dedicated to the subject of bonsai in all its facets. In addition to the range of plants and plant pots, advice on pruning and cultivation techniques, this year for the first time there will be a special offer for curious children aged 8 to 13 years:

A free taster course as an introduction to growing a "tree in a pot". This will take place on Saturday from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm and on Sunday from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm on the premises of the Green School. Please register by 23.05.2025 by e-mail to the secretariat at bg-buero@uni-osnabrueck.de.

With coffee and cake in the Freundeskreis Café, visitors will also have the opportunity for a short break and a lively exchange of experiences between professionals and beginners.
