The Museum am Schölerberg offers a unique combination of natural history museum, environmental education center and planetarium. The museum opened its new permanent exhibition in May 2023. It tells the story of the development of life from the birth of our planet to urban models of the future in the five areas of astronomy, water, forest, open land and city. The exhibition offers an exciting mix of unique exhibits, modern technology and interactive stations. Among other things, visitors can discover a lifelike forest from the Carboniferous period, in which extinct animals are brought back to life using augmented reality, learn about wolves and beavers from the Osnabrück region and experience processes in nature through many hands-on opportunities.
