With this award, the City of Osnabrück honors his active peace work, which consists in the scientific substantiation of a model for the management of intercultural conflicts and thus serves to overcome the individual consequences of oppression and violence. The consequence of his work corresponds to the words of Erich Maria Remarque: "My subject is the human being of this century - the question of humanity."
